the game SMOG, the Thirteenth Hour
File X
A parasite that travels lightcycles from the far reaches of space has inevitably developed an extraordinary vitality... 3 in Close Combat, 5 Life Points : these two characteristics alone would be enough to make File X one of the most frightening characters of Smog. Yet, it would be forgetting his outstanding Talent : if it's put out of combat, you can sacrifice another member of your league (let's say a creature from the Ether for example) to bring back File X in play !
Key Cards : Parry and Riposte (2) & Phantasmagoric Alley (2)
Professor Sawbone
No one knows whether Sawbone owns or is owned by his dreadful Mask of the Eight Ones. Whatever the truth may be, do not trust his respectable eccentric guise for he is a powerful etheromancer and a merciless killer.
The professor's Attacks are almost impossible to parry ; particularly effective to weaken even finish off his opponents right from the beginning of the turn. Take every chance to boost his CC, especially with the Mask of the Red Death or using the spell Vigour of Absinthe.
Key Cards : On-Guard Feint (1), Lightning Attack (2), Vigour of Absinthe (2) & The Mask of the Red Death (1)
The Coprophagus Level 3
Spraying its victims with his corrosive gastric fluids before swallowing them, this ever-hungry creature from the Ether has the power to come back into play to satisfy its gluttony.
Your Coprophagus has 3 in Close Combat (another thing in common with File X), can fire and automatically comes back into play when it loses its unique life point. Its profile is then the profile of a Coprophagus level 2 (CC2, MS1 & AP6). Because it is the most powerful as long as it stays level 3, make sure you protect your Coprophagus. With Aegis of Absinthe for example.
Key Cards : Aegis of Absinthe (2), Rapid Fire (1) & Defensive Fire (2)
The Ambassador Nail
Second character of your league coming from a far and mysterious planet, the strange Ambassador Nail is a versatile character. At the beginning of each turn, choose between Close Combat, Marksmanship and Ether : the tripodal plenipotentiary gets 2 in that characteristic. As your league is rather focused on Close Combat, Nail's flexibility makes him an essential support.
Key Cards : Rapid Fire (1), Ambushed Fire (2), Taromancy (2) & Chimaera's Vivacity (3)
