Her Majesty's most famous agent is one of the most powerful characters of the game, and an unmatched marksman. His Talent, a true fifth sense, allows him to escape others shooters. Although one bullet from the imperial assassin will put out of combat a good number of opponent characters, he is the only marksman of your league. Rapid Fire and Ambushed Fire allows him to fire more than once a turn... As long as you keep him close to the action.

Doctor Proteus Treves
The awful desease gnawing him also makes Proteus Treves a fierce opponent in Close Combat and with 2 in Ether, he is the best etheromancer of your league. He has 4 Life Points and a his Talent gives him the ability to regenerate. The spell Taromancy allows him to draw 4 cards then discard 2 which is of course very powerful if he is engaged in Close Combat but is diabolical if you still have not played Lord Holmes... Draw as many Marksmanship cards as you can and give your marksman a chance to accomplish a feat this turn.

The chiroptera-man's combined speed and erratic flight make him a nightmare for opponent shooters. Targeting him cost will cost them 2 extra action points, often forcing them to choose between firing and moving far. Be careful however for Kain Finger, with only 2 Life Points, is far from being as tough as Proteus Treves

Mei Leung is not only the glamourous asset of the league : the young and pretty opiumancer's Talent allows you, at the beginning of each Main Phase, to discard up to two action cards and then to draw that same number. Draw without hesitation four or five Marksmanship cards at the beginning of each turn and Lord Holmes should once again deserve the emoluments the Empire pays him.
